Restarting Papercut Client

If you click print and you do not get the usual confirmation box that says how much the print will cost and which account to apply the cost to it is likely that the print client needs to be started on your machine.

 

Please be aware, if there is a green "P" icon at the bottom right (press up arrow on the taskbar to expand all icons) - skip solution 1.


Solution 1: 


To start the client and get printing working again do the following:

 

1. Click the Start button at the bottom left of the screen

2. Start typing papercut into the keyboard and an option for Papercut client will display. (It may be named PCclient with the same icon as shown below).

3. Click this to start the client. A small green P should appear in the bottom right corner in the taskbar.


Solution 2:


  1. Press Ctrl, Shift (arrow above the Ctrl button at the bottom left) and Esc at the top left of the keyboard to open Task Manager.
  2. If the bottom left of the task manager shows "More details" - please click this button. If not, please continue to the next step.
  3. Press P on your keyboard and locate "PCclient" and all processes with the green Papercut icon.
  4. Select the processes and click end on the bottom right. 
  5. Follow Solution 1 above to re-open Papercut Client.
